Bringing Americans Together and Removing Barriers to Opportunities
Businesses Development Director of OMNI Health Care Clinic
Theresa Siaw is a social entrepreneur who currently directs OMNI Healthcare, a multi-location health clinic for the under-served. Also, she runs OMNI Medical Student Training, which helps students who have trained at foreign medical schools prepare for residencies in the United States.
Theresa earned a B.A. in Multicultural Marketing from Depaul University in 2010. Immediately after school, she began working in community health care at the Humboldt Park location of San Pablo Medical Center. With the encouragement of her mentors, Amer Rustom, MD, Eric Mizuno, MD and Anthony Tedeschi, MD, former CEO of Weiss Memorial Hospital, she went on to found her own medical student training program.
Theresa served on the advisory board of Centro Romero from 2013 to 2015, which helps immigrants and refugees achieve self-sufficiency, and she has the students from OMNI Medical Student Training work at Centro Romero health fairs.
Theresa and the businesses she works with sponsor Kids Soccer, Vita Ceda (which assists people with AIDS), community back-to-school programs, and the food pantry at New Life Covenant Church Southeast, where she has been a member since 2010. Currently, she is working with other community partners at the OMNI Health Care Division Street location to launch a program to reintegrate former gang members back into the Humboldt Park community in a positive, productive way.
